December 16th, 2014 will forever be a historic day for the Athens Clarke Community. After over seven years of planning, ARCH Athens finally broke ground on its new Homeless Resource Center which is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
We were excited to welcome community leaders of Athens to join us in this ceremony. We look forward to working with our five service partners to provide our city’s homeless population with the resources they deserve.
Despite having received $7.9 million dollars to build our new facility, we still need donations to purchase critical infrastructure such as tables, chairs, desks, beds, and a new playground. In addition, we would utilize your financial contributions to develop and sustain our respective programs so that we can continue to provide the Athens Clarke County community with exceptional services.
Construction is complete and we have moved in! It has taken nearly a decade for us to reach this point… Now we are ready to begin our expanded services to benefit those most in need.
Please take some time to browse through our website to learn more about the services and programs we are providing. We encourage your feed back and invite you to share your input in our “contact us” page. Also, like our Facebook page. Together, we can work to eradicate homelessness in Athens Clarke County.
